WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! HE'S CONFIRMED FOR SMASH!!! FINALLY!! Now lets have bald bull join as an assist. Or better yet, make a Punch out stage where the challengers use their signature moves on the fighters.
I can't express enough how happy I am that they put Mac in SSB. That is awesome. They did show the arena stage now sporting the WVBA logo, implying it is now a Punch-Out stage. I think some assists would be cool, but I am more than happy enough just with Mac. The more PO representation the better, though.
Maybe Little mac will have a taunt like Snake and the Starfox characters. You know, when you do the taunt at the beginning and you hear them talking. Little mac does it in the WVBA and you see Doc Louis giving Little mac hints about Megaman,Bowser,Marth, etc. I'm glad Punch out is the only Nintendo IP that wasn't ruined.
Have you played the Punch out on Wii? If not, give it a try,it's gameplay's like the original. and it got me into the whole punch out franchise.Plus(like the NES punch out)there is a famous guest star in it if you play it enough.
Is there any other retro revival games you like? one of mine is Donkey Kong country returns(despite there being no Kremings which really bugs me alot but makes up with the addictive hardcore platform gameplay).
I think DKC Returns was a very good game, I just don't think it was a very good DKC revival. The original feeling and mechanics just weren't there, yeah, and they got rid of most of the characters with the exception of Donkey, Diddy, Cranky, Rambi & Squawks. I read in an interview with the game developers in Nintendo Power that they originally planned to have the Kremlings and other returning characters, but Miyamoto stepped in to supervise at some point and told them to remove all of them except Cranky because he thought he was funny. That sounds pretty obnoxious for Miyamoto to do on a game that wasn't even his own project. They're making a sequel to it for Wii U with Dixie Kong in it, but her new design is pretty awful. She looks like a muppet now. Oh well, DKC Returns was still a damn fun platformer with awesome special effects, whether it's DKC or not.
I read that too in Nintendo power(R.I.P.),that did bug me a lot as well. To be honest I always thought Diddy and Dixie looked like muppets. When I heard they are now having Antarctica animal vikings in Donkey Kong country tropical freeze I was just like,-__- oh my god walruses stole King K.Rools pirate gimmick. But besides the vikings, the game does look pretty awesome. I like how now they are now having a revolving camera,it just makes the whole world look more interesting. The only thing about Donkey kong country that I find a bit of a waste of time is Donkey kong country returns 3D. Even though the 3D version has a new world and is more easier it's just the same game but in 3D.
The main problem with DKC Tropical Freeze, aside from the lame viking idea, is the fact that, like al the other new game sequels announced for Wii U, it's practically an exact double of it's Wii prequel, DKC Returns. It has the same style graphics, the same sound effects, the same environments with very slight and mostly unnecessary game mechanic updates. I wish Nintendo would put more effort into making these games actually feel like new games rather than expansions or hacks of Wii titles.
Isn't that how the new super mario bros series is? Don't get me wrong I do like the games and I still play them after I beated them, but I played the DS,Wii,and 3DS games and they are all the same.DS is the Wii on handheld, the Wii is the DS on console, the 3DS is the DS with half ass 3D effects and a not so addicting coin rush, and(I played a bit of the WiiU version)the WiiU is the Wii with a tablet that helps players by adding(up to)5 platforms.Same worlds, same gameplay, and same graphics with very slight mechanic updates. So yeah,it's one of those you play 1 game in a franchise you played them all.
