Hyrule's Most Heinous - Shadow Beast

Description

Here's finally some Twilight Princess art in my enemy series. The shadow beasts were totally badass and intimidating, but unfortunately they were ludicrously easy. Seriously, when the first one showed up so early in the game, I was pretty worried. I was thinking "crap, they expect me to beat this thing this already?", but then you realize they are easier than Goombas. Seriously, they do nothing practically, and all you do is get in their faces and button mash. It gets even stupider when you fight them in groups and realize that with Midna's help you can take them all out in one hit. They tried to set up puzzles and tricks with walls and separated ones but it never made it hard, especially since if you screw it up you can just try again with no penalty. I understand they didn't want to make them too hard as they just serve as ways to unlock the warp points (so happy warp points so much more abundant than in Wind Waker) but it wouldn't hurt to challenge me now and then. Speaking of which, I found it pretty messed up that Midna just lets Link kill all these guys. It's revealed that they are just Twili people transformed into monsters by Zant, but apparently Midna's cool with just killing any of her people who get in her way. Damn, what a bad ruler.
Anyway, I had loads of fun drawing this guy, hope you dig it.

This piece has amazing depth and shading affect. It is extremely different than all of the other Shadow Beasts in the crown and its limb structure and I admire that. The background fits perfectly with the aura of the subject matter and the foreground holds the beast with beauty.I love how you incorporated the red into this piece. It looks extremely powerful and elegant. The way the limbs on the beast curve around takes my breath away especially with such a hard pose to incorporate shading and a contour into. I love its asymmetrical atmosphere. This is such a beautiful piece!
