If you didn't think Earthworm Jim was one of the greatest games of the 90s, you were an idiot. The perfect blend of totally unique and interested characters and landscapes, excellent and challenging platforming, and a gut-busting sense of humor (and games are RARELY successfully funny), EWJ was a masterpiece. And being that Doug TenNapel's art (EWJ most of all) inspired my style so much, it's only natural that I should do a tribute to everyone's favorite soil-munching annelid.
I'm incredibly pleased with the individual drawings, however, the placement came out quite terrible. The main focus is obscured and most of Queen Slug-For-A-Butt is going off the page (as well as covering Psycrow). Also, some of the details on Jim are a little off since it was drawn quickly. Oh well, I still love the way it turned out. I will post each step individually on my art blog soon and link it here. Check back in the near future.
In picture are - Professor Monkey-For-A-Head, Evil the Cat, Major Mucus, Chuck, Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-filled, Malformed, Slug-for-a-Butt, Princess What's-Her-Name (one of gaming's sexiest females ever, in my opinion), Snott, Bob the Killer Goldfish and #4, Psycrow, Peter Puppy, and, of coarse, Earthworm Jim.
